Every great career story starts with a single opportunity, and for Kelly T., that opportunity came from a simple LinkedIn post and a little perfect timing.

A Chance Connection That Changed Everything

Kelly first discovered our team when she spotted a posting for a short-term recruiting contract in the Plano area. The role sounded like the perfect next step, so she reached out right away.

That very same week, our team happened to be sponsoring a local HR association meeting and happy hour. Kelly attended and met several members of our staff in person. It was the beginning of an authentic, lasting connection.

The Role That Opened New Doors

We placed Kelly in a three-month Contract Recruiter role with a large, well-known consumer goods company. What she did not realize at the time was that this short-term assignment would become a major turning point in her career.

Recruiting was Kelly’s second act. After starting her career in Sales and Marketing and then taking time off while raising her sons, she returned to the workforce as a remote agency recruiter. What she really wanted was hands-on experience in a corporate recruiting environment where she could grow, learn, and contribute in person.

This assignment delivered exactly that. She gained true corporate recruiting experience, learned the inner workings of Talent Acquisition (TA), and developed deeper knowledge of HR technology and the consumer goods industry. The experience was so impactful that she ultimately converted to a full-time position.

That single opportunity became a powerful stepping stone.

Growing Through Confidence and Resilience

Kelly entered the role eager to make a strong impact, but she also battled a bit of imposter syndrome. Instead of letting it slow her down, she made the choice to show up with enthusiasm every day. She asked for more work, embraced new challenges, and focused on delivering her very best.

Along the way, she rediscovered the importance of resilience and the value of building strong relationships. These lessons stayed with her long after the contract ended.

A Career That Kept Moving Forward

That first placement opened the door to a series of in-house recruiting roles with well-recognized organizations across multiple industries. Each role helped her grow professionally and gain greater influence within the TA profession.

Today, Kelly serves as the Senior Director of Talent Acquisition for a global organization of more than 5,000 employees. From a three-month contract to leading a worldwide TA function, her journey is a testament to the power of the right opportunity at the right time.

A Staffing Experience Built on Trust
